The weather in the UAE is slowly transitioning back to summer, but we still have a few months of good weather, which you should take advantage of. So here are some activities taking place all over the country this month – time to start planning.

Middle East Film and Comic Con

The annual Middle East Film and Comic Con is returning is back! The event which celebrates comic books and pop-culture will feature appearances from celebrities including Mena Massoud from , Brandon Routh from , Carice van Houten from and John Rhys Davies from .

Dubai Restaurant Week

Enjoy delicious food at incredible prices for ten days during Dubai Restaurant Week. The event includes 35 fine dining eateries, such as: Back’s Paru, Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen, and Latin America eatery Coya to name a few. During these days, these restaurants have curated two-course lunch menus (priced from AED 75) and three-course dinner menus (from AED 150).

Tough Mudder, Ras Al Khaimah

The Tough Mudder obstacle race is kicking off 2020 in Ras Al Khaimah, testing your physical strength and stamina. The mud themed marathon includes over 25 obstacles held over 10 kilometres of terrain that is made to test you. If you are looking for a shorter route, there is also the 5km option which offers only 13 obstacles. Meanwhile, kids can also participate in the Mini Mudder race which is 1.6-km.

Dubai Boat Show

The Dubai International Boat Show is set to return from March 10 to 14. This time, the event will take place at the Dubai Harbour for the first time, as it used to be held at the Dubai International Marine Club. The show will include superyachts with an estimated value of AED 2.6 million. There will also be other sea related toys including the Xturismo, a flying bike that can hover above land and water, and Triton, the only submersible in the world to have reached the Mariana’s trench.

Mohammed Assaf, Abu Dhabi

Palestinian pop-star Mohamed Assaf is coming to the capital later this month and is set to perform some Egyptian classic hits. The singer will take the stage at Abu Dhabi’s Cultural Foundation Theatre, paying tribute to Egyptian legend Abdul Halim Hafez. The former Arab Idol winner is expected to perform classic hits like  and

This documentary is directed by Palestinian filmmaker Elia Suleiman, who perviously won the Jury Prize at Cannes in 2002 for his film This feature film won the Jury Special Mention award and the Fipresci Critics’ Award at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.  follows Elia as he travels to different cities around the world and finding unexpected parallels to his homeland of Palestine. The film asks an important question, which is, where is the place we can truly call home?

Sharjah Art Foundation

The city’s infamous Sharjah Art Foundation just installed their second permanent exhibition after Random International’s Rain Room Sharjah. The foundation acquired the work Ageing Ruins Dreaming Only to Recall the Hard Chisel from the Past by Otobong Nkanga with Emeka Ogboh. The piece features a speaking tree, and is accompanied by other multimedia interventions.
