Supercar fan? Join us and Arabian Gazelles for a fabulous afternoon tea

Mark November 13 in your diary

Dubai International Motor Show kicks off tomorrow, and with it a series of exciting events championing innovation and those who love to live in the fast lane.

Someone who knows all about the need for speed is founder of Arabian Gazelles, Dubai’s all-female supercar club, Hanan Mazouzi Sobati. She launched the club over two years ago and in that time amassed over 60 members of 18 different nationalities, all residents of the UAE.

She wanted to create a space to share her passion with other likeminded women, so it’s only appropriate that Arabian Gazelles have a prime spot at the annual motor show that is taking place from November 12-16 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Here at EW HQ we love supporting women who are pushing boundaries and can’t wait to sit down with Hanan over a decadent afternoon tea on November 13, from 1-3pm. There we will discuss her ambition for Arabian Gazelles and the position of women in motor sports in the region and beyond?

Want to join us? Ladies get free access between 1-4pm to the 15th edition of the Dubai International Motor Show and the seating at the afternoon tea is on first-come-first-served basis.

Also being held at the Arabian Gazelles Lounge is the Women’s World Car of the Year Award, featuring the Holly Reich Dream Car Award, the Woman of Worth Award, the best cars in categories including Urban, Family, Green, Luxury, Performance and SUV/Crossover, as well as the Supreme Winner.

While you’re at the motor show, why not immerser yourself in other fabulous activations? Expect over 40 car launches, including the fastest electric car ever made. Get your adrenaline pumping with thrilling on-site drifting, and gear up to experience the first-of-its-kind Virgin Hyperloop. You can also check out one passenger prototype Check out Italdesign’s unveiling of 3D-printed vehicles inspired by students’ drawings in My Car of the Future competition.

Saudi Arabia lifting a ban on female drivers was celebrated around the world, but before women could get behind the wheel and start learning how to drive, female driving instructors had to be appointed. At the motor show, you will have a chance to meet two of the first female driving instructors in the Kingdom, Deborah Sherwood and Kathleen Kaigh, who are coming to Dubai share their story.
