Another day, another hotel opening in Dubai. The touristic luxury city is filled with countless options when it comes to resorts; however, not all of them are certified as ‘Instagrammable’. In 2020, a number of properties are set to open in Dubai, including a Zaha Hadid designed hotel and the region’s first Legoland resort.
Marriott Resort Palm Jumeirah
This is set to be Marriott’s first resort opening in Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah. The establishment will include eight food and beverage outlets, including Korean, Italian, Japanese and Mexican cuisines. Moreover, the resort will also have a rooftop bar called ‘Above Eleven’ which will feature a garden maze in the entrance – a guaranteed insta-hit. All of the rooms and suites will come with a private balcony overlooking the Arabian Gulf.
St Regis The Palm
This luxury new hotel will bring the St.Regis to the Palm. This will be the hotel’s second run in Dubai, after its first location was rebranded into the Habtoor Palace. The hotel will take up 18 floors of The Palm Tower, which is attached to the Nakheel Mall. One of the must-see spots of the hotel is its infinity pool on the 50th floor – the perfect spot for incredible landscape shots! Also, guests will be able to enjoy the incredible restaurants that will overlook the water.
ME Dubai
This hotel opening will be a special one, as the late Zaha Hadid personally designed all of the interiors and exteriors. People from all over will surely flock over to take in the stunning ME Dubai, which will be taking residence in the Opus building. The hotel will occupy six floors in the lower half of the building, which will include 93 rooms and suites as well as 96 serviced apartments.
SLS
When this five star hotel opens, it will be one of Dubai’s tallest hotels. SLS Dubai Hotel & Residences will include 254 hotel rooms, 371 residential units and 321 hotel apartments. It will also be home to several restaurants offering different cuisines like Fi’lia and Carna. Moreover, guests will be able to blow of some steam at the Ciel Spa, which will feature 7 treatment rooms, steam rooms, experience showers, plunge pools, a salon and gym.
Legoland Hotel
This will be the perfect location for a family getaway, fun for parents and kids alike. Dubai Parks and Resorts will become home to the region’s first Legoland hotel in 2020. The colourful cube themed hotel will include 250 lego-themed rooms, a castle play area and a disco elevator within the resort.
Mandarin Oriental Wasl Tower
After the success of the first, the city is ready for its second Mandarin Oriental hotel. The Mandarin Oriental Wasl Tower will be located on Sheikh Zayed Road, featuring 257 rooms, suites and serviced apartments. For the design, the property is taking a local approach, as it has been designed to ‘reflect local culture, with features inspired by Mandarin Oriental’s Asian heritage’.
