While we may be lucky enough to live in Dubai, it’s at the top of many people’s travel bucket lists in a post-COVID world, according to a new report.
With COVID-19 restrictions hopefully set to ease in the near future, data gathered by Wego suggests Dubai as the number one destination on the list of places people wish to travel to.
Used by millions every month for travel-related purposes, Wego is the one-stop travel destination platform used to make your entire wanderlust experience exhilarating. While compiling travel-related data on the platform, it suggests that tourists will start visiting their favourite destinations again as restrictions allow.
Per , appearing at a travel conference in Abu Dhabi – ‘Travel Tourism: Where’s the Recovery’ – Wego’s chief executive Ross Veitch highlighted Saudi Arabia as an example for how the travel site measures its data.
Data on the website revealed that when the Kingdom first eased restrictions in September and then in early January, there was a spike on their website of people hoping to visit Saudi.
“As soon as inbound or outbound restrictions are removed, people will go,” the chief executive said.
Thus, Wego has outlined the top 10 destinations where people wish to travel to which sees Dubai at the top, along with New York City, Istanbul and the Maldives.
