The movement ban in Abu Dhabi has been extended

The movement ban that has been in place in Abu Dhabi for the last week has been extended.

Per directives from the Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Committee, the Abu Dhabi Police and Abu Dhabi’s Department of Health, it was announced restrictions on moving in and out of the UAE’s capital will continue for another week as of Tuesday, June 9.

The announcement was made via the Abu Dhabi Media Office social channels.

The restrictions apply to all residents as well as UAE nationals, with people being allowed to move between the region they live during the allotted curfew timings, 10pm to 6am.

However, just like the announcement stated last week, there are exemptions available for those who work in vital sectors, chronic disease patients visiting hospitals and the transportation of necessary goods.

While the current curfew hours for the whole of the UAE are in place from 10pm to 6am to allow the national sterilisation programme to take place, Dubai’s curfew hours are in place from 11pm to 6am.
