This wedding was nothing less than a grand state affair. 32 years ago, the couple set the stage for royal romance with a wedding and ensuing partnership that captured the hearts of millions around the world. They tied the knot on June 10, 1993 in Amman.

A warm birthday wish

Earlier this year on January 30, 2025, Queen Rania shared a warm post on her feed with the caption, “Happy Birthday! You mean the world to us.” Known for her immense love for His majesty, this is one of the many moments she shares her gratitude and care for him.

A family portrait together

Known for always bringing the family together, Queen Rania shared a beautiful family portrait on her Instagram feed to end the year on a positive note. The children along with their better halves were seen posing. In the caption she said, “As we usher in the New Year, we pray for peaceful, more compassionate days ahead.”

Kind Abdullah II pens an open letter for his ‘lifelong partner’

On March 2024, His Majesty King Abdullah II bestows the Order of the Bejewelled Grand Cordon of Al Nahda (Order of the Renaissance) on Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah in appreciation of her distinguished service and her leading role in the advancement of Jordanian society. In the letter, he said, “God has blessed me with an unwavering companion, who has stood by my side in constant devotion to this nation.” With his deep appreciation for Queen rania, he shared how she played a pivitol role in his journey over the years.

A special iftar together

Their Majesties King Abdullah II and Queen Rania of Jordan hosted an iftar in Aqaba, Jordan In April 2022. Together with their eldest son Crown Prince Hussein, the royals travelled to the southern city of Jordan which is close to the border of Saudi Arabia, to visit a group of orphans. The royals arrived in Aqaba where they were greeted by staff and children just before iftar. Queen Rania shared a series of videos on her Instagram story of herself, King Abdullah and Crown Prince Hussein spending time with orphans as they all sat down to break their fast together.

A visit to the UAE

The couple paid a royal visit to Abu Dhabi, UAE, in November of 2021. They received a warm welcome from the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak. Following their visit to the UAE, Queen Rania shared a heartfelt message about always having the “fondest memories” when coming to the country.

A Valentine’s Day celebration

In February 2017, the couple celebrated the occasion with a stunning heart-shaped cake topped with fresh roses. Queen Rania, shared a romantic photo on her Instagram. “God always makes your hearts and homes full of love,” the royal captioned the shot. “May your homes and hearts always be filled with love and by peace,” she further added.
