Life
We all love AirPods, with its convenient design and handsfree system. However, losing one single AirPod on a flight, in a car or even while jogging, often is the biggest hindrance.
For most models, when your AirPods are separated, these are the following steps to find them when lost:
Step 1: Go to the Find My app
Step 2: As you see the location of only one at a time, you have to first locate the one on the map.
Step 3: Insert one back into the case
Step 4: Refresh the map to locate the other one
Incase your AirPods are “Offline” or show “No location” or even out of range and need to charge, you might be able to get directions of their last known location but you won’t be able to play a sound or use Find Nearby. Once they are back online, you can receive a notification on your iPhone or other Apple device that you use with them.
If you can’t find your AirPods at all, you can follow these steps for assistance.
Step 1: In Find My, choose your AirPods and swipe up.
Step 2: Under Mark as Lost, tap Activate.
Step 3: Follow the onscreen steps to display your contact information to someone who finds your AirPods.
Step 4: Select Activate.
Still can’t find it?
Additionally, if this hack still doesn’t work and you can’t find your missing AirPod, the good news is you can buy a replacement for a left or right AirPod or the right AirPod or even the charging case. You can also be ensured that your replacement will be new.
