Emirates offering flights to help stranded Egyptians return home

While Emirates has been running a number of repatriate flights throughout the last couple of months. The airline has even now relaunched many regularly scheduled flights, cooperating with the relevant authorities to do so.

However, flight schedules and travel patterns are far from being back to normal and many people are still stranded in foreign countries due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

With that, in order to help Egyptian citizens who are currently stranded in the UAE, Emirates are set to run four services between Dubai and Cairo to help people return home. Flights will be running on June 14, 18, 19 and 21.

“Customers can also connect to these flights in Dubai from any destination on Emirates’ current network of 30 destinations in the GCC, Asia Pacific, Europe and the Americas,” the airline’s statement said.

It should be noted all passengers will need to comply with the eligibility criteria to enter the destination country, whether that be being an Egyptian passport holder or having the correct requirements to travel.

Just last week after the UAE government announced the lifting of restrictions for transit flights through the country, Emirates has revealed they will now be offering flights to 29 cities departing from Dubai Airport.
