If you’re travelling any time soon your airport experience, whether it be here in the UAE or abroad, is likely to be very different than what you’re used to.
We’re talking sterilisation gates, protective Perspex screens at check-in, heat motion sensors, unmasked tracking, ‘fit to travel’ stickers and more.
Another aspect that’ll be slightly different is the time you spend at the airport, as Abu Dhabi airports are now urging passengers to arrive four hours prior to their flight departure time as opposed to the normal two and a half to three hours norm.
This is due to all the additional elements now implemented as part of precautionary measures curb the spreading of coronavirus, in new guidelines outlined by the Abu Dhabi Media Office.

Travellers are also encouraged to use online check-in facilities. Additionally, social distancing must be maintained and face masks and gloves must also be worn.
