Sub-zero temperatures were recorded in the UAE over the weekend

While UAE winters are arguably some of the warmest in the world, there were some sub-zero temperatures recorded over the weekend.

It was announced by the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) that temperatures in the area of Raknah, Al Ain went below zero degrees Celcius to minus two degrees Celcius on Saturday, January 9 in the early hours of the morning.

Meanwhile, the highest temperature which was recorded on the same day was 25 degrees Celcius in the town of Sweihan. However, this was recorded in the late afternoon.

Over the next week or so those who reside in Dubai can expect temperatures of around 24 degrees with sunshine. Abu Dhabi is similar.

With temperatures fluctuating between 17 degrees to 25 degrees, depending on the time of day, it’s the perfect weather to take advantage of for terrace dinners and rooftop bars overlooking the city.
