During his exit interview, Nigel was all smiles as he chatted to Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnely as he reflected on his time in the jungle.
He was then asked why he decided to do I’m A Celebrity, and it was here that he revealed his age – much to the surprise of viewers at home.
Replying to the question, Nigel said: “I had time to do it and I’m 60 next birthday and going to reach an age where you can’t do it.
“This is very physical, bringing buckets of water, doing the challenges, so now was the right time to do it and I’m very pleased I did.

“I did my best to show no fear at all in the challenges.”
Taking to X/Twitter fans were shocked by his age, with one tweeting: “So did anyone else know that Nigel Farage was only 59 years old.”
While another said: “Nigel Farage is only 59?!?”
This one commented: “Wait… Nigel is only 59!?”

Meanwhile, just before his exit tonight, I’m A Celeb viewers called the show a “fix” after Nigel appeared to get an “easy trial” compared to the others.
While Tony’s trial saw him covered in guts and every insect imaginable, and Sam had to eat a pig’s vagina, Nigel’s final trial was relatively tame.
Tonight each of the final three made their way to the clearing as they faced their final trial with Ant and Dec.
Each finalist took on an individual trial and after Tony, 41, and Sam, 31, each earned five stars, it was Nigel’s turn.
Ant explained the rules of the final challenge named Panic Pit, where the broadcaster was trapped inside a coffin like box.
Every two minutes he stayed in the enclosure meant that he would win a star, meaning he had to last 10 minutes to earn all available treats.
As the klaxon sounded, Ant McPartlin declared: “You’ve got company now, Nigel.”
A huge snake slithered in as Nigel declared that he was “having a lovely time,” after Declan Donnelly raised concerns.
Towards the end of the arduous I’m A Celeb task, the lights went out and the media personality was submerged in darkness.
In the eight minute after he earned the star for his drink, he remarked “Bloody lovely.””
But some fans thought the former politician got an easy ride in his final trial, compared to the other two campmates.
One user fumed: “Why does Nigel’s trial seem so much easier than the others? Fix!”
Another fan said: “How’s this a trial? Just a load of snakes in a pit,
This one said: “This is p**s easy. All he has to do is lie there.”
Nigel fully completed the trial and earned all five stars, much to the praise of his devoted fans and followers.

And now there are signs of a fledgling jungle romance, according to some.
This Morning’s Josie Gibson and Hollyoaks stalwart Nick Pickard have kept a lower profile than some of their co-stars, but they appear to be getting along famously.
On Monday night there lots of giggles as they took on a Deals on Wheels challenge together and there has been comments about their chemistry, despite Nick having a long-term girlfriend back home.
One fan referenced perhaps the most famous I’m A Celeb couple of all time, Peter Andre and Katie Price, who famously found love in Oz back in 2004.

He said: “My missus is always having to go because she says sometimes I’ve been asleep for a little bit and then I wake up and then I cannot get back to sleep before I’ve gone and made myself some food.
“So for the last sort of months, she’s really been trying to snap it out of me. I’ve been doing intermittent fasting, so just trying to not eat like throughout the day and even that’s been tough. ”

Watch Ant & Dec awkwardly SNUB superfan Sam Thompson two months before he reunited with his ‘idols’ on I’m A Celeb

SAM Thompson was given an awkward brush off by his “idols” Ant and Dec just weeks before his I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! arrival. The former Made In Chelsea star was seen excitedly greeting the Geordie duo on top of a skyscraper in Australia on Sunday night as the series kicked off.

But just two months earlier, Ant and Dec had embarrassingly snubbed Sam on the red carpet.
The former Made In Chelsea star had been reporting on the National Television Awards for Hits Radio in September when he spotted Ant and Dec coming his way.
But in a move that left his BFF Pete Wicks ’embarrassed to be his friend’, Sam was shooed away by the pair’s publicist.
Sam had excitedly said to Ant: “It would be amazing to interview you just for five seconds if that’s okay?!”
    READ MORE ON SAM THOMPSON
The TV presenters’ publicist then stood in front of Ant, however, and told Sam there ‘wasn’t time’.
Ant kindly went to shake Sam’s hand before leaving, but the reality star and radio DJ awkwardly mistook this for a signal that he wanted to chat.
Sam gushed: “Oh, good man! Thank you sir!”
As Ant retreated, Sam then backtracked: “Oh… you’re saying ‘hi’. I really appreciate that. Thanks very much’,” he added.

The entire encounter was caught on camera and also saw Sam shouting, “We’ve always wanted to be you! We’ve always wanted to be you!” while Ant made his escape.
Sam even ran down the red carpet after Dec, who shook his hand and told him, “I think we’re late!” before scuttling off.
During Sunday night’s I’m A Celebrity launch show, Ant and Dec branded Sam: “The world’s most enthusiastic man.”
But his pal Pete, who found fame on The Only Way Is Essex, wasn’t too impressed by the incident at the NTAs.
In the unearthed footage, Pete tells his pal: “I’m gonna be real and say that last 10 minutes has made tonight worthwhile because I don’t think I’ve every been more embarrassed to be your friend.”
Unperturbed, Sam replies: “I think we just smashed that.”
Ant and Dec didn’t hold back when introducing Sam to I’m A Celebrity viewers on Sunday night.
Dec said: “First up is the winner of the world’s most enthusiastic man for the last five years running, Sam Thompson.”
Sam then told the cameras: “I’m energetic. Slightly annoying, maybe?
“I can’t wait to meet Ant and Dec. I’m the biggest fan of them!”

Inside Nigel Farage’s romance with French politician Laure Ferrari – and how she branded English women ‘drunken tarts’

NIGEL Farage’s romance with French politician Laure Ferrari has long been the subject of speculation. The former UKIP leader, 59, has been romantically linked to the 44-year-old French right wing politician since 2017.
Nigel Farage is said to have a secret girlfriend with many speculating who it isCredit: PA
Laure Ferrari has long been linked with the former UKIP leader
Ferrari moved into his £4 million Georgian home in West London and was seen taking the bins out.
At the time Farage dismissed the idea of an affair as “crackers” as he had just announced the separation from his wife of 18 years, Kirsten.
He claimed he was simply helping out a friend who needed somewhere to stay.
The pair met in 2007 when Ms Ferrari was a waitress and she later worked with the Eurosceptic stalwart in the European Parliament.
But Ferrari caused a stir when she claimed “classy” French women were better lovers than their English counterparts as they are “discreet and respectful”.
Ms Ferrari branded English women “drunken tarts” in an explosive email.
The rant said French ladies “can be very discreet and respectful hiding a sincere love affair for 3 years and 6 months . . . not looking for any kind of publicity at all.”
And it claimed British women “can put themselves in embarrassing situations with well-known married men whom they kiss in public”.
Most read in I’m A Celebrity
The outburst was aimed at “jealous” UKIP aide Annabelle Fuller — a woman publicly accused of sleeping with the married Brexit chief.
Meanwhile, the leaked email even spoke of a three-and-a-half year affair with a mystery married man.
In 2012 Ms Fuller forwarded the email to Mr Farage’s office, claiming it was from Ms Ferrari.
She demanded his team “print out and show to Nigel” after he had allegedly accused Ms Fuller of “lying about her”.
Previously, Ms Fuller was named as Mr Farage’s “former mistress” in a European Parliament speech by ex-UKIP MEP Nikki Sinclaire back in 2014.
It is currently unclear whether Farage and Ferrari are still together.
But speculation has resurfaced after it was confirmed Farage does indeed have a secret girlfriend.
However, she will not meet him when he leaves I’m A Celebrity, despite it being the tradition for family and loved ones, reports MailOnline.
Sources close to Farage he will be keeping his family and romantic life private while in the jungle.
Farage was also seen slow-dancing with Ferrari on a dimly-lit dancefloor in June 2017.
Filmed at a party celebrating the one year anniversary of the historic Brexit vote, he could be seen grinding up against his French politician lover.
An onlooker said: “There was no question that they were a couple. Laure was putting on quite a display.
“She seemed to twerk a bit and was all over Nigel. From the look on his face, he was loving every minute.”
It came as Mr Farage’s wife said the pair had been living “separate lives” for years and he had moved out of the family home in Kent “a while ago”.
German-born Kirsten Farage revealed the separation after it emerged her husband had been sharing a house in Chelsea with Ms Ferrari.

The I’m A Celebrity shower scenes teach us an important lesson about women’s figures – including cellulite and mum tums

I’M A CELEB is back and another round of celebs will be stripping down to a bikini and showering in a freezing cold waterfall. Back in 2006, Myleene Klass made television history when she showed off her washboard abs and buxom boobs in the famous shower scene.

Lisa Snowdon said the I’m a Celeb showers left her feeling ‘exposed’
But in the years that followed, the hit reality series has used the famous shower to showcase a whole range of women’s bodies – proving that you don’t have to be in your twenties and a size six to look incredible in a bikini.
TV presenter and model Lisa Snowdon – who starred in the 2016 series – admitted that bathing in THAT freezing cold waterfall left her feeling “massively exposed”.
But while the waterfall showers might have been a nerve-wracking experience for Lisa, there’s no denying that they have worked wonders for female viewers’ body confidence.
Here Fabulous takes a look back at the most iconic I’m a Celebrity shower scenes which have celebrated women of all shapes and sizes.

Looking back on her time in the jungle, the now 62-year-old former Countdown star who loves to flaunt her figure in skimpy outfits and workout gear said showering on TV made her feel uncomfortable.
Instead of wearing a bikini, Carol opted for a swimsuit and a pair of camp shorts.
Speaking about it, Carol said: “I wore swimming costumes rather than a bikini deliberately. It is a weird thing, that shower. I think you will notice on [future series of the show] it’s not as obvious.
“It’s very uncomfortable. I found it uncomfortable mostly because you could see three cameras — you could see where they were positioned and there was nowhere to hide.
“They don’t do it now. It was of its time. That shows how society’s rules change.”
    Kate Garraway – 2019

Kate Garraway represented women in their 50s everywhere when she braved the freezing shower in 2019.
Before her stint in the jungle, the mum-of-two told The Sun that she had packed a skimpy bikini that she would wear if she felt comfortable enough.
Inspired by her co-star’s Caitlyn Jenner courage to shower on screen, Kate, 54, followed suit in a red bikini which showcased her knockout figure.
She told us at the time: “You think, ‘I’m never going in that shower. It’s too embarrassing’, but it is the only way to wash. So at some point you’ve got to go in!”

After welcoming her daughter Darcey in 2006, Kate told The Mirror: “Everything’s a bit saggy. I’m flopping all over the place because I never have time to exercise.
“But I’m happy with my shape. Being pregnant changes your body image. You watch your stomach expand. If that happened without being pregnant you’d be in deep distress!
“But because you’re excited about what’s going to happen, you view yourself differently.”
    Emily Atack – 2018

Considering how the average UK woman is a size 16, it was incredibly refreshing to see Emily Atack looking comfortable in her curves back in 2018.
Instead of Hollywood washboard abs, Emily and her co-stars Sair Khan and Rita Simons represented ordinary women this season.
The 31-year-old actress often walked around the Australian jungle in little more than a bikini – subtly telling women everywhere you don’t have to be petite to look great in a two-piece.
Speaking on The Sara Cox Show last year, Emily said: “We’ve been brought up in a society where a size four and size six girls are how you see all the lead actresses. Most of them are that size.

“When they see someone who is a normal size, I’m a 10/12/sometimes a 14 if I want to be comfy…I am just a normal size. But in other people’s eyes I’m bigger.”

When Vicky Pattison entered the Jungle in 2015, she was an instant fan favourite.
And the Geordie Shore star – whose weight has fluctuated between a size 16 and a size six – showed you don’t have to be stick-thin to look incredible in a bikini.
The 33-year-old was so comfortable showing off her curves that she even braved the freezing cold showers with her campmate Ferne McCann.
In 2018, the star said she hated counting calories when she was a size six.
Appearing on The Wright Stuff, she said: “I wanted to be out there, drinking gin and having the odd slice of pizza and having a great quality of life.”
    Gemma Collins – 2014

When Gemma Collins jetted out to Australia in 2014, it was an important moment for plus-size viewers.
The reality star proved just how proud she was of her size 24 figure by being the first celeb to jump in the shower that season.
She later joked: “I’ve never been in a shower that takes so much work, but you’ve got to roll with it, roll with it like Oasis did.”
“The shower was lovely. I wouldn’t say I’m clean, but I’m cooled off.”
    Jennie McAlpine – 2017
In 2017, I’m a Celeb bosses continued to move away from super skinny starlets by casting some more average-sized women.

There’s no denying that Ferne McCann brought a little Essex glamour to the Jungle in 2015.
The TOWIE bombshell wasn’t self-conscious to show her fit figure in the showers – and revealed it was the “biggest” she’d ever been.
She said at the time: “I’ve never been bigger but I’ve never felt better. I’m the fittest I’ve ever been.
“I can run further and train longer than ever before. I like feeling fit rather than thin.”
    Nadine Coyle – 2019

Former Girls Aloud member Nadine Coyle, 36, was another star who showcased her curves in the I’m a Celeb showers last year.
The mum-of-one looked incredible in a white high-waisted two-piece and joked that she completely forgot she was being filmed.
She told us: “You can forget yourself and you’re doing your thing because it’s such a natural thing to be in the shower, then you’re like, “Oh, that’s right – the cameras! We’re on TV!”
Speaking to Fabulous magazine ahead of her jungle debut, Nadine said: “I have insecurities, but they don’t consume me. It doesn’t bother me if my hair’s a mess or if I have a bad skin day. I just don’t look in the mirror!
“And weight has never been an issue that’s bothered me, and my mammy has a lot to do with that. Me and my two sisters are all different sizes.”
    Vanessa White – 2017

However, she ditched her plant-based diet for the show.
Eventually, she did confess to falling ill, where she requested vegan-only food for the remainder of the show.
At the time, Shappi said: “I had meat, and I was really, really physically sick, five times in one hour. It was horrible.”

The insider said: “Fleur told producers that she didn’t intend to be vegan in the jungle and would eat everything.
