The band will be performing for a one-off show for Sheffield’s Rock N Roll Circus in 2024.

Milburn will be headlining the third night of the circus-themed event at Don Valley Bowl on Saturday, August 31.

Opening acts will include Jake Bugg, The Selecter, The Rifles, Seb Lowe and Gia Ford.

Speaking about the upcoming event, frontman Joe said: “Don Valley has a special place in our hearts and to return at the top of a bill
which has so many great artists on it, is an honour.

“Last time we performed at Don Valley it was really wet, so we’re chuffed that we’ve got a big top to play in this time.

“But not even the great British weather can stop this being the crowning glory for a band who have a place in so many people’s hearts. Roll up, roll up!”

The news comes 15 years after the band split and when their violent crowd surge gig disaster occurred.

In November 2007, their gig at Manchester Metropolitan University’s K2 was cancelled halfway through after the venue failed to hire a crowd barrier.

This led to uncontrollable surges within the crowd, during which an alleged incident occurred involving an event security attendant attacking a fan, who then turned on Louis.

Then after months of speculation, the band announced their split in 2008.

They said there had been no falling out and they will “remain friends” as they “explore new musical horizons”.

Milburn last performed together for a series of gigs in 2021, marking the 15th anniversary of their influential 2006 debut album ‘Well Well Well.’
