Our Editors’ Favorite Trader Joe’s Beauty Products

The conversation in our office often turns to one of two things: Trader Joe’s or beauty products. So it’s only fitting that we discuss what happens when those two topics merge — our favorite beauty products that you can pick up at TJ’s! You (like me) might not even realize how expansive the beauty and skincare section is, but there really are some amazing — and most importantly, affordable — options to grab on your next cauliflower gnocchi run.

Whether we like it or not, the cold winter months are quickly approaching, and we need to do everything we can to make them a little bit more bearable. Our editors swear by a few essential Trader Joe’s products to get us through the whole year, but especially though those brutal Chicago winters. Here are the TJ’s beauty products we love the most:

100% Pure Jojoba Oil

I use the TJ’s jojoba oil as an oil cleanser, and it works phenomenally. It never gets stuck in my eyelashes, never clouds my vision (oil cleansing lovers will know exactly what I’m talking about), and it actually gets rid of all of my mascara. It also moisturizes my skin like no other. For around $7, you seriously cannot go wrong.

Lavender Salt Scrub

I wasn’t familiar with the TJ’s lavender foot scrub until I randomly saw it on a shelf during a shopping trip and decided to try it and, let me tell you, it’s a dream product. Just use a small amount to exfoliate your heels (perfect after months of wearing summer sandals!) and it leaves your feet so soft and smooth. Plus, the lavender scent is so subtle and soothing!

Rose Water Facial Toner

I admittedly bought the Trader Joe’s rose water spray just because I liked the chic packaging (looks way more expensive than it is, don’t you think?) but I LOVED it after actually using it. It smells so light and provides the perfect facial spritz to keep you feeling fresh after a long day or time in the sun. It would be amazing after a long flight to keep you feeling hydrated! Would highly recommend.

Ultra Moisturizing Hand Cream

My hands get SO dry, cracked, and raw (cute, I know) as the weather gets cooler. I’m so often washing my hands, washing dishes, and just generally trying to survive Chicago winters and I absolutely need something nourishing. I bought this cream on a whim when I was visiting my best friend in California in March and forgot to pack my necessary nightly cream. It worked like a charm — and made the trip home with me in my checked bag.

100% Pure Argan Oil

I used to buy this ~fancy~ argan oil at Sephora, but then I randomly spotted this on a trip to TJ’s to stock up on Mandarin Chicken and fell in love. I use it in the evenings for extra moisture or before I jade roll for maximum absorption. It’s also great for any dry bits of skin like elbows or knees.

Facial Cleansing Oil

I am a BIG fan of double cleansing — it’s the only way I feel like I truly get all my makeup off! As much as I believe in the importance of good skincare products, I don’t have a huge skincare budget. Thankfully, TJ’s doesn’t force me to choose between the two— this cleansing oil features a few different types of oil (and it’s vegan!), but comes at a great price point.

Nourish Oil-Free Antioxidant Facial Moisturizer

This is a great everyday moisturizer. My sister has extremely sensitive skin, and after I heard her singing its praises, I hopped on the bandwagon too. It’s nothing fancy, and just does its job: moisturizing the heck out of my skin.

Tea Tree Tingle Line

I have to be honest and say that I haven’t actually tried this yet, but I was so intrigued by it that it had to be included as my favorite. I’m a sucker for essential oils and anything that can turn my home routine into a more spa-like experience. This line includes a shampoo, conditioner, and body wash with peppermint, tea tree, and eucalyptus — and I need to try them all!
